These sessions will be presented by Steve Wirth, Esq., EMT-P, one of the nation’s leading EMS attorneys. Steve is a founding partner of Page, Wolfberg & Wirth, LLC the key source of legal information for ambulance industry and EMS providers nationwide. He is a lifelong EMS provider (since age 16) and one of central Pennsylvania’s first Paramedics.
Steve is a dynamic and sought after national speaker on a wide range of EMS, fire, and medical transportation issues and has presented for such large groups as EMS Today, FDIC, EMS Expo, American Ambulance Association, and many state and regional EMS conferences. Steve has conducted hundreds of dynamic and engaging hands on workshops and seminars for all types of fire and EMS organizations. He is a past chair of the Panel of Commissioners for CAAS, serves on the board of the Pennsylvania EMS Providers Foundation, and is an active “Muddy Angel” participating with the National EMS Memorial Bike Ride.
Steve is an author and co-author of many articles and texts on EMS documentation, EMS liability, workplace law, and ambulance compliance issues. Steve serves on the editorial board for JEMS, The Journal of Emergency Medical Services. He is also a contributing writer for several well-known EMS publications, including JEMS, EMS Insider, EMS World, and EMS1. Steve has been active in EMS and the fire service his entire adult life - so he can “boil down” complex legal concepts into practical strategies you can use. Steve recently “retired” from the field after over four decades of service, but remains a life member and certified firefighter and EMT with Hampden Twp. Fire Rescue in Mechanicsburg, PA, a busy suburban department.
